As AWS users we often experience friction when developing or operating our workloads. Some of this is healthy, some is infuriating. Previous versions of this presentation explored a series of pain points collected in a survey of the Perth AWS user community. In this version, delivered at the inaugural 2023 AWS Community Day in Singapore, time constraints required a different focus. Rather than honing in on technical solutions and workarounds to specific problems, I examined some key classes of pain point and the strategies that we have available to handle them.
